Il nome è mutuato dalla vecchia locomotiva a vapore che campeggia nel giardino del centro aziendale. La lentezza delle “vecchie signore” delle ferrovie ben si concilia a questo vino che può accompagnare con calma, dall’inizio alla fine, un pranzo delicato e deciso allo stesso tempo.

Family and tradition are important values and Case Marcosanti has dedicated this wine to them, which bears the name of its great-grandfather and is in line with the tradition of full and structured Sangiovese but still easy to approach for everyone.

Wine symbol of Romagna, Sangiovese is declined in various ways, but Case Marcosanti wanted to adhere as much as possible to tradition to transfer the best expression of the territory in which the grapes are grown into this wine.

VINO SPUMANTE DI QUALITÀ BIANCO BRUT 11,5% VOL.
Grapes: Chardonnay.
Harvest: beginning of September, manual harvest with selection of the grapes.
Vinification: early harvest of the grapes, soft pressing, fermentation with selected yeasts at a controlled temperature. Refermentation in closed autoclave, long Charmat method (3 months).
Sensory characteristics: pale straw yellow color with green reflections; fine and delicate perlage; persistent on the nose, fruity, with hints of bread crust; good fullness of taste, fresh with a pleasant acid sensation.
Pairings: aperitifs, fish appetizers, shellfish, oysters and crudités. Ideal for all meals with fish and vegetarian dishes.
Serving temperature: 8-10 ° C
VINO SPUMANTE ROSATO BRUT 12.0% VOL.
Grapes: Sangiovese.
Harvest: mid-September, manual harvest with selection of the grapes.
Vinification: early harvest of the grapes, soft pressing, fermentation with selected yeasts at a controlled temperature. Refermentation in closed autoclave, long Charmat method (3 months).
Sensory characteristics: pale pink color with violet reflections; fine and delicate perlage; persistent on the nose, with prevailing floral scents, notes of red fruits, strawberry; good fullness of taste, fresh, with a pleasant acid sensation.
Pairings: aperitifs, fish appetizers, shellfish, cold and vegetarian dishes. Also ideal for the whole meal.
